There is currently no functioning Genealogy Society in Butler County.


BU   Butler County, Kansas, was established in 1855.  It was one of Kansas’ original 36 counties and named for Andrew Butler, a U.S. Senator from South Carolina who promoted Kansas statehood.  The county seat of Butler County is El Dorado, Kansas.
