The mission of the Clay County Historical Society is to preserve a representative history of the Clay County area and its people and make available for use and appreciation with correlation to national and world history. The society maintains the Clay Historical Museum with artifacts and written documents made available to the general public for personal pursuant and educational usage.

Current officers of the society are: President - Dale Hammond; Vive President - Marvin Sherbert; Secretary - Janice Craig; Treasurer - Dora Deane Lips; Curator - Cathy Haney.

The Clay County Historical Society will do research for $8.00 per hour plus $ .25 for each copy made.
